"I don't see how you can be so cavalier"
Sure, it may pale in comparison to the amount of people who die in car accidents and in Africa of starvation, but still, around 50 innocent people were murdered in a country because of religion, which is bollocks. And, like after 9/11 (which was much bigger, sure), fear spread across the UK and a lot of people were upset.
Like, 50 people lost their lives, and hundreds of people lost a relative or a friend, and loads and loads of people were injured, because of some stupid terrorist group getting all pissed off because of their religion. And people were frantic and upset. It's Human life, ffs.
But that's nothing to do with the flash.
Anyway, the graphics to this weren't particularly bad, and the humour - well, I would normally laugh if it were funny, even if it pokes fun at tragedy, but this wasn't particularly funny. The idea of the French being behind it is already a bit cliche, and the Durkadurkastani joke was taken straight out of Team America.
It was nicely made, it was an attempt to be offensive (and I wasn't offended - I know no-one who died in it), and you put in a bit of effort. Perhaps you should have put in a rap at the end.
Yeah, anyway, it actually wasn't funny, and I would've laughed if it was. The music went pretty well with the action on screen. The French weren't drawn very well, and the explosion was pretty lazy. But all in all, it was still just above par.
It was worth a shot, I guess, making one about London. You're usually funnier than this though.

Not that the others weren't great too. But AubergineLock's is very praiseworthy.

Because I was amused, you get a ten. And a five.

We've been talking recently about the need for a more prominent Newgrounds slogan. The slogan for years now has been, "The Problems of the Future, Today!" As much as I love that slogan, I can't say for sure that it accurately portrays what NG has become.
I had a few bold proclamations in mind, such as "The World's Biggest Flash Community." These are tempting because they give newcomers an immediate impression of what Newgrounds is. That is much more important than it sounds - a good slogan leaves a lasting mark on the casual web surfer. We are, after all, the biggest Flash community / archive on the net - so why not let people know that? Most casual surfers end up reading the same claims on other sites, and get the wrong impression as a result. Yeah, people are stupid like that.
But then again, Newgrounds isn't JUST Flash. The Audio Portal is a great place to scout for tomorrow's musical talent, for example.
So I'm sitting here in San Diego tossing around slogans in my head. I was thinking, what about a slight alteration of our old slogan? For example: "The Talent of the Future, Today!"
Is that more accurate? Does it sound cheesy? While I still take great pride in the edginess of Newgrounds, I don't think we need to tout our gross-out factor like we used to. After all, the site has always been about "breaking new grounds", so why pigeonhole it as a site full of socially-unacceptable / morally-questionable content? Am I right on this one?
If you could pick a new slogan for Newgrounds, what would it be?

There was no animation in this at all - the only thing that came close to it, other than the very long tween up to the window, was the incredibly lazy pulling on a cigar - a cigar which seemed to have some stationary smoke attatched to it. The humour is very unoriginal - I've heard all the same Hot Topic jokes, and they don't even have Hot Topic in Britain. The opening song is probably the definitive unfunny song.
The lyp-synching was very smooth, but then again, there was only lip synching for two whole words.
It's amazing that such a short flash could drag on for so long.

Nice, clean graphics, a good Beatles' song,
I guess I'll have to unleash a tide of mass voting on this. Y'know, to get it through judgement.

I laughed, I cried. I played the trumpet, and I shot kittens.

I thought the light in the first scene was reflective of some impending destruction or happening - I felt that the ominous nature of it created a massive tension that was cleverly left unresolved at the end.
My God. It changed me, man.

I love you too man, give me a hug.
